Kames Capital has appointed former Cofunds chief executive Martin Davis as its new CEO, effective from 1 October.
Before joining Cofunds, Davis spent a number of years with Zurich Insurance Group, including running its international and global emerging markets life businesses.

In his new role, Davis will be responsible for focusing on strategic direction, governance and overseeing the overall development of Kames as a distinct business within Aegon Asset Management.
Davis will also be responsible for leading the Kames executive team including Stephen Jones, who was named as CIO following his contribution building Kames’ fixed income franchise.
