Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (DeAWM) has strengthened its real estate investment team in the Americas by appointing four new members.
Matthew Jaffe has been named as a director and alternative investment specialist in the Global Client Group, who will concentrate the development of real estate business.

Reporting to Laura Gaylord, co-head of alternatives investment specialists for the Americas, Jaffe will oversee the business from New York.
Prior to accepting the current role, Jaffe was serving as a director in global markets with Societe Generale, where he was responsible for marketing across the Eastern US. Before that, he acted as senior vice president of marketing and client services at Torchlight Investors (formerly ING Clarion Capital).
The company has named Peter Mette as a director in the real estate transactions team to concentrate on acquisitions in Southern California.
Based in San Francisco, he will report to Tim Ellsworth, head of real estate transactions for the Americas. Mette joins DeAWM from KBS Realty Advisors, where he was working as a senior vice president and director of acquisitions and dispositions.

Cheryl Charnas joined as a vice president in the real estate asset management team as a residential asset manager.
Having over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, Charnas will manage the business from Chicago, and reports to Joe Senko, national head of residential asset management.
Most recently, she was serving as a project director of transitional assets and a vice president of asset management at Inland American Business Manager & Advisor.
Emily Zagorski has been named as a vice president to lead product development across the real estate investment platform in the Americas.
Based in New York, she will report to Marlena Casellini, Deputy COO for the Americas, alternatives and real assets.
Prior to accepting the current role, Zagorski was with JPMorgan Global Wealth Management, where she headed several initiatives, such as global funds management and product development for the private bank and alternative investment investor relations.
