iShares, the exchange-traded funds (ETF) platform of BlackRock, has appointed Jessica Eistrand and Deri Bainge as directors to its EMEA fixed income sales team in a bid to grow client demand for fixed income exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

In the new roles, Eistrand will be responsible for covering the Nordics and Benelux regions, while Bainge will be responsible for covering Germany, Switzerland and Austria regions. Both Eistrand and Bainge will report into Leen Meijaard, head of iShares EMEA Sales.

Eistrand has over 13 years of sales experience in the Nordic region and joins from StormHarbour, where she worked in the European client solutions team and was responsible for managing Nordic institutional clients.Prior to this, she worked at JP Morgan, where she provided advisory services on asset allocation and alternative investment strategies.

With over 10 years of experience in sales across German regions in Europe, Bainge joins from Credit Agricole CIB, where he spent four years marketing a range of assets in the debt markets division.

Prior to that Bainge has served as vice president in the fixed income sales team at Nomura and also as vice president of structured credit sales at Bank of America.

Leen Meijaard, head of iShares EMEA Sales, said: "Eistrand and Bainge will play an important role, providing product insight, solutions and explanations for the multiple uses of fixed income ETFs to investors based in northern and continental Europe."
