BNY Mellon Wealth Management has appointed Helen Nugent, Northern Trust’s SVP, as managing director of sales in its Southeast region.
In her new role, Nugent will be responsible for overseeing a team of five sales directors across a six-state region and will be responsible for driving regional professional recruitment efforts, Bank Investment Consultant has reported.

At Northern Trust, Nugent held a number of leadership roles, most recently spearheading a pilot program serving not-for-profits, endowments and foundations in an initiative that became a model for the company’s other US regions.
The publication quoted Chris Hohlstein, regional president for BNY Mellon Wealth Management, saying: "BNY Mellon Wealth Management has experienced extraordinary growth in our Southeast region and we look forward to Nugent’s energy and professionalism to achieve even greater success in the future."
