Spain’s Bankia Group has hired Marta Alonso as director of the private banking unit, Bankia Banca Privada.
Previously, Alonso headed private banking’s Madrid unit. Prior to that, she performed various roles in the Bankia Group’s private banking business.

Before joining the group, she worked at Banif and Banco Urquijo.
Alonso will report directly to Jaime González Lasso De la Vega, director of the bank’s private banking and asset management division, which encompasses the private banking business and the investment fund and pension plan management companies.
