American asset manager MFS Investment Management has changed the name of its Canadian operation from MFS McLean Budden to MFS Investment Management Canada.
According to MFS, the name is aimed at bringing consistency in the MFS brand and aligns the Canadian division with MFS’ global operations.
In September 2011, MFS’ parent company, Sun Life Financial, merged McLean Budden with MFS, significantly increasing MFS’ presence in Canada.
"The new name extends the consistency of our brand identity and our global approach," said Carol Geremia, president of MFS Institutional Advisors.
"In addition, it represents the importance MFS places on its Canadian business and our inherent promise to deliver a world class client experience that clients around the world have come to expect," Geremia added.
