Investec Wealth & Investment (IW&I) has expanded its teams in Glasgow and Edinburgh with nine new appointments in a move to widen its presence in the Scottish market.

The new hires include seven from Barclays, and two from DeAWM, which will take the headcounts at the Glasgow and office Edinburgh office to 20 and 54 respectively.

David Kerr and Lisa Brown from Barclays will join IW&I’s Glasgow office as investment directors alongside financial planning director Stephen Cotter, associate investment director Mary Young and administrative assistants Alison Eke, Lisa Forker and Charlene Fallon.

Gary Laing and Carole Anderson will join IW&I’s Edinburgh office from Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (DeAWM) as associate investment director and administrative assistant..

This move follows the hiring of four senior Deutsche managers in August, and four from Barclays in September.
