The Carlyle Group, an alternative asset manager, has appointed Jesse Wu as the new senior advisor for its Asia buyout team.

Wu previously served a 26-year spell at Johnson & Johnson, a group which he joined in 1989. He held the role of the chairman of Johnson & Johnson China and the member of the company’s management committee from 2013 to 2016.

He also served as the worldwide chairman of the Johnson & Johnson Consumer Group and company group chairman for global markets.

Overall, Wu has an experience of about three decades in the healthcare and related sectors.
