Russell Investment’s Asia consulting head Trevor Persaud has stepped down after a spell of three years at the firm in Singapore.

Persaud joined Russell Investments as practice leader for consulting and advisory services for Asean (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), Hong Kong, Taiwan and India, where his service offerings included investment advisory, asset allocation, risk management and portfolio construction, according to Asian Investor.

Persaud took over Mahendran Nathan’s responsibilities in April 2012, who served as chief executive for Asean, Hong Kong, Taiwan and India.

Prior to joining Russell, Persaud spent three years at Prudential Asset Management from December 2007 through to December 2010 as head of investment risk in Singapore.

Earlier to this, he has held similar management roles at UK-based asset management firm such as Insight Investment, Morgan Stanley and Schroders. He also worked at MSCI, where he developed their hedge fund indices.
