JT Macfarlane, executive chairman, Deutsche Bank Australia and New Zealand, said: "Deutsche Bank has consistently ranked top three in New Zealand across Markets and Corporate Finance for several years. O’Rourke was previously Head of Markets for New Zealand as well as Head of Illiquid Credit Australia and New Zealand, a role he will retain. In his capacity as CCO he will report to JT Macfarlane and, for Illiquid Credit, to Kevin Kosovich, Head of Structured Finance Australia and New Zealand. His appointment is effective immediately.
Based in Auckland since 2007, O’Rourke previously spent 13 years in London, including 11 at Deutsche Bank where he was most recently European Co-Head of Global Principal Finance.
