Redpoint Investment Management, a firm owned by National Australia Bank, has bolstered its investment team by appointing Max Cappetta and Anthony Corr as investment directors and Kheng Kua as chief technology officer.

The trio will be responsible for the launch of the firm’s new active equity products, including the continuation of the 2.5-year-old Australian equity capability.

The trio have joined Redpoint from Continuum Capital, where Cappetta and Corr were co-founders and Kua served as investment analyst and technology position.

Redpoint CEO Tim Batho said: "These new appointments are fully aligned with our business strategy and bring complementary skills to our existing investment capabilities."

Earlier to joining Continuum, Cappetta, with 17 years of funds management experience, served as a partner, executive director and head of Australian equities at GMO Australia Limited.

Corr, with 14 years of funds management experience, also served as a partner and Head of Australian Equity Research at GMO Australia Limited, where he led research and development of the Australian equities investment process, while Kua, with 9 years of investment experience, served in quantitative analyst roles at Macquarie Group and MIR Investment Management.
