Additionally, they will work closely with LGIM’s portfolio management and investment teams, both in fixed income and asset allocation and will contribute more broadly to the Legal & General Group asset allocation process.

Klijnstra and Jeffery have joined LGIM from BNP Paribas Investment Partners, where Klijnstra served as head of research and acting chief investment officer, and Jeffery a senior tactical asset allocation strategist within the multi-asset solutions team.

Prior to joining BNP, Klijnstra has worked for Fortis Investments as a pension actuary and as portfolio manager for institutional mandates, while Jeffrey has worked at the Bank of England for four years in monetary analysis.

Heiligenberg said: "These hires continue to build on the market-leading global macroeconomic and strategic expertise within LGIM’s asset allocation team. Klijnstra and Jeffery will join the team that develops themes and ideas that are central to our macro driven investment process."
