Peapack-Gladstone Financial Corporation and Peapack-Gladstone Bank have appointed John Babcock as new senior executive vice president and president of private wealth management, effective from 10 March 2014.

In his new role, Babcock will be responsible for growing the bank’s wealth management business and catapulting the bank’s personalized white-glove client service to both new and existing clients.

Babcock has more than 33 years of experience in wealth management and private banking. Most recently, he served as managing director and the regional head of the Northeast Mid-Atlantic region for the HSBC Private Bank.

Prior to HSBC, Babcock served as managing director and regional CEO for US Trust/Bank of America, as well as senior level positions at The Bank of New York and Summit/Fleet Bank.
