Earlier to this, Carlton served as vice president of private client services at First Horizon Bank and also worked for personal financial services at JP Morgan Chase and as a financial advisor with UBS Paine Webber.

David Emmes, president of US Markets, West, was quoted by the source: "BNY Mellon Wealth Management’s focus on Texas is integral to our long-term growth strategy in key US wealth markets. Building on the incredible growth of the last four years, in 2014 we plan to add at least five more professionals in Dallas to sustain the high-quality service we deliver to clients while also gaining new ones."

Meanwhile, BNY Mellon has also appointed Abigail Bensimhon as a senior private banker in Washington D.C. Prior to BNY Mellon, Bensimhon served as a senior commercial loan officer at Capital Bank in Rockville, Md.

The new moves come as part of the firm’s efforts to increase its sales force by 50% and add private and mortgage bankers and other professionals in key wealth markets by the end of 2014.
