NAB Asset Servicing has named Peter Hele as new head of business development for Australia and New Zealand, effective from 20 January 2014.
In his new role, Hele will oversee NAB’s engagement with industry custody and will report to Suzanne Smith general manager, sales and relationships. Also, he will be responsible for new business across all industry sectors, including sub custody.

Hele has spent 14 years at NAB, where he was responsible for developing the product framework and connecting NAB’s strategic partners with clients.
Previously, Hele has led the expansion of the asset servicing offering into the New Zealand market alongside NAB’s partner MMC.
Christine Bartlett NAB Asset Servicing executive general manager said that Hele’s previous track record as part of the Asset Servicing team will help develop this part of the business in New Zealand.
"Peter’s main focus will be to enhance engagement with consultants, as well as regular communication to the market about the business. Peter will also leverage the broader NAB and Bank of New York Mellon relationship to bring value to new business clients," she added.
