For investment managers, Theta’s database will provide third-party verification of the manager’s actual performance, while for subscribers, Theta will offer objective, third-party performance information for a variety of active money managers based on the actual returns in a traded account.

All actual performance information offered on the Theta database will be provided by a third party custodian, brokerage firm or mutual fund platform.

Commenting on the acquisition, Halbert said: "Theta has been an important source of actual performance information for us since its inception and we are pleased to be able to continue offering this valuable resource to investors and active money managers."
