About half of the Swiss voters have voted in favour of restricing immigarion in the country despite the government’s warning that the move could affect economy and relationship with the European Union (EU).
Some 50.3% voters in the country supported a proposal by the nationalist People’s Party to introduce quotas for all types of immigrants and about 49.7% voted against the plan, reported cbsnews.com citing Swiss public television SRF.
