Eaton Vance Management (International) (EVMI), a unit of US-based Eaton Vance Management, has appointed Tjalling (TJ) Halbertsma as its new managing director.
Halbertsma will assume the new role on 19 September 2016, and will manage Eaton Vance’s existing and new business development across EMEA, Asia, including Japan, Latin America and Australia.

He will be responsible for overall management of sales, client service and marketing activities, as well as will work closely with the London-based investment teams on strategic planning and product development.
Halbertsma will report to Eaton Vance Distributors president Matt Witkos.
“TJ is a polished and professional distribution leader with a proven record of successfully leading business development teams globally. He is highly motivated, focused on client relationships, and knowledgeable about how best to represent our investment management capabilities. We are confident in his ability to successfully lead our efforts,” Witkos said.
Halbertsma most recently served as head of EMEA at Nuveen Investments, and before that served as managing director at Man Group.
