The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has named Revel Wood as new CEO of RBS Luxembourg, its Luxembourg-domiciled management company and fund governance unit.
In his new role, Wood will prepare the business for the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and further develop strategic partnerships with clients and service providers.

Based in Luxembourg, Wood will report to Andy Wright, managing director of RBS Funds Services.
Wood’s move comes as part of the firm’s internal restructure to bring the business in line with client demands.
Wood has joined RBS (Luxembourg) S.A. in January 2012 as director and COO, where he was responsible for activities such as portfolio risk management, technical fund compliance, fund accounting and transfer agency oversight teams.
Additionally, he has also completed the implementation of a new risk platform in 2013 to support its client base and the complexities of investment fund regulation.
