UK-based Jupiter Asset Management has launched a new multi-asset ecology fund that will focus on companies which stand to benefit from the transition to a sustainable economy.
The new Jupiter Global Ecology Diversified Sicav will invest in both equities and bonds. Nearly 60% of the fund will be held in fixed income such as bonds, labelled green bonds as well as convertibles, while 40% will be held in equities.

The fund’s fixed income portion will be overseen by Rhys Petheram, while the equity assets will be managed by Charlie Thomas and Abbie Llewellyn-Waters.
In order to boost returns, the management team will look for the best value along a company’s capital structure, be it in bond, equities or their combination.
“The sustainable investment sector is becoming increasingly mature across asset classes, we believe we can apply our expertise in a way that will resonate with clients in delivering a diversified, lower-volatility and income-generating approach to a compelling global growth theme,” Thomas said.
