Sprott Asset Management (SAM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sprott, has appointed John Wilson as its new CEO, effective immediately.
Wilson succeeds Eric Sprott, who will continue to serve as chairman and chief investment officer of Sprott and senior portfolio manager at SAM.

Wilson will work with SAM president James Fox to lead and expand the asset management platform.
He joined Sprott Asset Management in January 2012 with over 25 years of investment and business experience.
Previously, he served as CIO at Cumberland Private Wealth Management and before that, he founded DDX Capital Partners, an alternative investment management firm.
