Franklin Templeton Investments has named Mark Dunn as the new UK discretionary head, effective 1 April.

In his new role, Dunn will be responsible for fund distribution within the discretionary channel as well as managing the discretionary sales team.

He will work alongside Mark Elliott, head of UK advisory, who has joined the firm from Blackrock last year.

Based in London, Dunn will report to Alex Brotherston, head of UK retail sales.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Dunn has worked at Carmignac Gestion as sales director for the past two years in UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Ireland.

Earlier to this, he also served as head of strategic business development at LV Asset Management, where he was responsible for managing the advisory team and developing strategic alliances. Previously, he has held positions at FundQuest, Insight Investment, Lombard Odier and Fleming Asset Management.
