The firm holds specific focus in assisting clients nearing retirement, particularly Washington State public employees handling retirement and pension options.

Mike Weinand said: ”Wealth Enhancement gives us the ability to bring more resources to the table without losing the personal relationships that have defined our firm. It’s an opportunity to strengthen what we offer clients today while building for the future.”

Wealth Enhancement CEO Jeff Dekko said: “Mike has built a long-standing practice grounded in trusted client relationships.

“For more than 35 years, he and his team have been a steady partner to the individuals, families, and businesses they serve. We’re excited to welcome them to Wealth Enhancement and support the next chapter of the practice.”

Recently, the Financial Times reported that Carlyle and Bain Capital are competing to acquire Wealth Enhancement in a deal that could value the wealth management company at roughly $7bn, including debt.

The company has been put up for sale by its private equity owners, TA Associates and Onex.
