GenSpring Family Offices has announced the expansion of the firm’s national footprint with the development of its family office in San Francisco.
This marks GenSpring’s second expansion in California this year following the announcement of the founding of a family office in Los Angeles in January. GenSpring has 14 family offices nationwide and the firm’s recent moves underscore a continuing commitment to California, in which it has family offices in Costa Mesa, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

While GenSpring has provided integrated and objective advice to wealthy families and investors in Northern California for years, this expansion makes available more San Francisco based professionals to deliver family office services individually tailored to help families sustain and enhance wealth across generations.
The eight-person San Francisco team is helmed by three highly experienced industry veterans. Family Investment Officer Steven Cutcliffe brings over 20 years of insight and expertise working with Bay Area families of substantial wealth. Most recently, Steve served as Managing Director at SunTrust Private Wealth Management helping clients effectively manage their personal wealth and business-related financial needs.
With over 30 years of experience, Family Investment Officer William Oscher specializes in helping ultra-high net worth clients meet their intergenerational wealth management goals by developing customized investment strategies and overseeing the active management of their investment assets.
Family Investment Officer Bill Hageboeck brings extensive expertise in investment management and financial planning and is responsible for overseeing investment policy formation, manager selection, client asset allocation and portfolio performance reviews.
