British firm Punter Southall Group has acquired a minority stake in wealth firm Argentis Financial Group to form a strategic partnership.
Under the strategic partnership, which is subject to regulatory approval, Punter will assist Argentis’ financial planning and wealth management business to grow further.

PSG Group managing director Kenneth McKelvey will be added to the board of Argentis, which will continue to operate independently under the leadership of chief executive David Taplin.
McKelvey said that the company looks forward to working in partnership with the team at Argentis to help their business expand.
"Punter Southall Group’s investment and support will enable us to move the business forward while continuing to provide an excellent service to our clients," added Taplin.
Punter Southall has earlier announced the merger of its institutional investment adviser and fiduciary manager, P-Solve, with River and Mercantile Asset Management to form River and Mercantile Group.
