Temasek, a Singapore-based investment firm, has opened a new European office in London to support investment interests in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
The new office was opened by Singapore’s Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong and Temasek chairman Lim Boon Heng.

Lee Hsien Loong said that the new office will reflect Temasek’s confidence in European opportunities as well as potential in regions such as Europe and Africa.
Temasek said that it expects its other new office in New York this year.
In addition, the new office will advise Temasek on investment and partnership opportunities with growth companies in Europe.
The move emphasizes on how sovereign wealth funds and pension plans are boosting their investment teams to explore deals and boost returns.

By GlobalDataThe new London office will complement Temasek’s current network of foreign offices in Brazil, China, India, Mexico and Vietnam.
Lim Boon Heng said: "We see long term opportunities in a rebalancing world, with Asia brimming with vigour and confidence as it joins the global markets.
"We also see Asia companies broadening their markets to include Europe. We are therefore in an interesting space, providing a bridge between Europe and Asia, and partnering European companies, both inside and outside Europe," Heng added.
"I’m confident that this office will deepen Temasek’s engagement in Europe and Africa, will strengthen ties between Singapore and these continents, and will add to Singapore’s long and illustrious history of business and cooperation with London," said Lee.
