RBC Investor & Treasury Services has named Pascal Thorens as new managing director in Switzerland, replacing Marco Siero.

Based in Zurich, Thorens will report to Sébastien Danloy, RBC’s managing director Europe & Offshore.

In his new role, Thorens will be responsible for business development and regulatory relationships, as well as overall management of RBC Investor and Treasury Services’ activities in the country.

In the meantime, Siero will move to Luxembourg to assume new role for RBC’s client service across Europe.

Thorens, with over 20 years of financial experience, has joined RBC from Clariden Leu Asset Management where he was head of sales and distribution and member of the asset management executive committee.

Prior to this, he has held several senior roles in Nordea, Credit Suisse and UBS.
