The TCW Group has announced that Michael Wright has joined the firm as a Senior Vice President and Senior Institutional Marketer.
In this role, he will be focused on managing relationships with institutional clients on the East Coast. Wright is based in New York City and reports to Joe Carieri, Managing Director and Head of Institutional Distribution and Marketing.

Wright brings more than 25 years of experience to TCW. He joins TCW from HSBC Global Asset Management in New York where he was a Senior Vice President responsible for marketing the firm’s investment strategies to pension funds, endowments, foundations and corporate treasuries.
Previously, he was a Director of U.S. institutional sales for AXA Investment Managers, where he managed the firm’s business development strategy. Prior to AXA, Wright was an Executive Director with Morgan Stanley, overseeing a client base of U.S. and Canadian public pension plans.

Wright earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from the University at Albany.
