Old Mutual has hired Ingrid Johnson as new finance director, replacing Philip Broadley.

Additionally, the firm has also named Paul Hanratty as its new chief operating officer.

The duo are set to assume their new roles from 1 July 2014.

Johnson and Hanratty will also serve as members of the Group Executive and will become executive directors at Old Mutual as part of their new roles.

Meantime, Philip Broadley, who will continue to remain as an executive director until the end of August 2014 to ensure a smooth transition.

Johnson is currently the group managing executive: retail and business banking for Nedbank Group Limited. She has previously held business leadership roles in Nedbank for 20 years.

Julian Roberts, group chief executive, said: "Ingrid will bring an in-depth knowledge of banking and the wider South African financial services environment, while Paul has a wealth of experience in the Group’s insurance and investment businesses and an exceptional understanding of the markets in which we operate.
