Breen has recruited former Sidley colleague and funds lawyer David Brennand to join him in the asset management group.
Brennand was most recently a partner at offshore firm Walkers, having worked with Breen at Sidley for over a decade.
According to the publication, Brennand is expected to be joined by Schulte Roth & Zabel regulatory special counsel Neil Robson, who is likely to serve out a five-month notice period before starting at Katten.
And, with him the total partner headcount will reach to 14 at Katten’s London office, which includes only nine permanently based partners in the city.
