British wealth manager Rathbones has appointed Sanjiv Tumkur as its new head of equity research.
Based in London, Tumkur will be responsible for developing and promoting the firm’s equity investment philosophy and process.

He will report to Rathbones’ head of research Elizabeth Savage.
“With over £10 billion of assets invested in both UK and international equities, Sanjiv’s extensive experience in stock analysis and selection will prove invaluable, not only now but in the years ahead as our research capability expands,” Savage commented.
Tumkar has an overall experience of two decades in the research and fund management space. He most recently served as a senior equity analyst at Investec Wealth & Investment.
Prior to that, he was associated with Morgan Grenfell (later Deutsche Asset Management) and Alliance Bernstein.
