PIMCO, a US-based investment management firm, is panning to launch a range of new equity funds.
Managed by co-CIO Virginie Maisonneuve and head of corporate bonds Mark Keisel, the first fund will be a combination of credit and equity product, according o Investment Week.

The other ranges of funds might include global growth, global long/short, and small cap.
Additionally, Maisonneuve will manage her own global growth fund similar to her mandate at Schroders.
Maisonneuve said that the firm will recruit small teams of managers and analysts in weak areas but will not make any large-scale acquisition to expand into in the equity space.
