MyState, a Tasmania-based financial services firm, has named Melos Sulicich as its new managing director and chief executive, replacing John Gilbert.
Based in Hobart, Sulicich will assume his new role on 1 July 2014.

Sulicich has joined MyState from RAMS Financial Group.
Previously, he also served as general manager of mortgage broker distribution with Westpac from 2008 to 2013.
Miles Hampton chairman MyState said: "Sulicich has considerable experience in the financial services sector; in particular the wealth management and mortgage broker markets. Importantly, the Board values the wealth of knowledge Mr Sulicich brings from other business sectors which will enable us to capitalise on the nature and speed of change in the financial services industry."
