Swiss asset manager Vontobel has hired Alex Fung as new CEO of its private wealth management business in Asia.
Additionally, the firm has hired seven additional members to the wealth management team as part of its expansion strategy in the Asian region.

Based in Hong Kong, Fung will report to Georg Schubiger, Vontobel’s head of private banking.
Last month, Fung has also assumed the roles as CEO of Vontobel Wealth Management in Hong Kong, replacing Jing Zhang Brogle.
Prior to joining Vontobel, Fung most recently served as CEO of Société Générale Private Banking for Hong Kong, North Asia and Greater China.
Meantime, Brogle has decided to focus on new tasks outside Vontobel, but will work closely with the company.
