BNP Paribas Investment Partners (BNPIP), the asset management unit of French banking group BNP Paribas, has appointed Christian Bucaro as the new CEO for its Singapore business.
Bucaro will replace Puay-Lit Tan, who has decided to take time off to pursue his own interests.

Bucaro will now be tasked with managing the firm’s business interests in Singapore and driving local strategy across all client groups. At the same time, he will continue to expand the firm’s offerings to private banking clients in the region, particularly in the multi asset solutions segment.
Bucaro joined BNPIP in 2005 in Italy, and in 2008 shifted to the firm’s London office. He served in various senior positions in London that include head of UK offshore business development and deputy head of global distributor relationships.
In 2012, he joined the Singapore office in the role of team head of distribution sales for Southeast Asia, and in 2014 was named private wealth head at BNPIP Asia Pacific.
