BlackRock, a US-based asset manager, has named Tan-Yuan Kueh as head of its private bank business & strategic client development for Asia ex-Japan.
Based in Hong Kong, Yuan Kueh will report to Damien Mooney, head of Asia ex-Japan retail business.

In her new role, she will lead and drive the strategic direction for BlackRock’s private banking and key client relationships in the region.
Prior to joining BlackRock, Kueh worked with UBS Securities as CEO of its wealth management business for China. Previously, she also worked with Macquarie Group for ten years in its New York, Sydney and Beijing offices.
Mooney said: "Her appointment continues a series of senior hires in the region and adds to a talented team. Tan’s knowledge and experience in the private banking industry add significant strength and depth to our Asian retail and wealth advisory business."
