Amundi US has appointed Annie Joyce as the new head of its environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG).

Joyce has around 15 years of experience in working with institutional and wealth investors. She specialises in the impact investing spectrum across public and private markets.

She has joined Amundi US from MSCI ESG Research, where she served as ESG Consultant vice president.

Prior to that, she was part of several impact-driven organisations, including Social Finance, Éclat Impact, and the World Economic Forum. She has also worked at Barclays Capital in Global Markets.

In her new role, Joyce will focus on accelerating the ESG strategic direction for Amundi US.

She will work closely with senior leadership of the firm, its global ESG teams as well as its global investment management, marketing, and distribution teams. She will also collaborate with external industry partners.

Joyce will report jointly to Amundi US president and CEO and head of the Americas Lisa Jones and Amundi chief responsible investment officer Elodie Laugel.

Jones said: “Annie has tremendous experience across a diverse range of organisations and issues related to responsible investing, and her background provides a strong foundation for her to lead our ESG strategy in the US.

“As a firm that is deeply committed to responsible investing, we continue to invest in resources aimed at strengthening our global leadership in ESG. We are confident Annie will be instrumental in leveraging Amundi’s global ESG resources and expertise for our clients.”

The appointment follows Amundi’s commitment as a signatory to the United Nations-sponsored Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).

Recently, the firm joined the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative, committing to de-carbonisation objectives.
