City National Bank, a subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), has launched a new office in Manhattan at Brookfield Place.

The new office, which is the bank’s third location in New York City, will allow financial services employees, small and mid-sized businesses, nonprofit organizations, professionals, investors, and other individuals as well as their families to access the bank’s premier private and business banking and wealth management capabilities.

The office will house about 12 employees, increasing the bank’s headcount in New York City to over 260.

It will serve colleagues of RBC US Wealth Management that has offices in New York, and RBC US Capital Markets that is based at Brookfield Place.

City National Bank chairman and CEO Russell Goldsmith said: “This new location and expansion of our private and business banking will enhance our ability to provide clients in New York with City National’s unique brand of relationship banking and wealth management.”

“Our team in this new office will focus, in particular, on delivering its superior banking experience to the area’s growing population of businesses and financial professionals, including the colleagues and clients of RBC Capital Markets and RBC Wealth Management,” Goldsmith added.
