British fund manager Schroders has named Ken Maeda as its new head of Japanese equities, replacing Shogo Maeda who will retire in March next year.

Ken Maeda, who joined Schroders in 2001, will assume the new role on 1 October 2017. He has managed the Schroder ISF Japanese Opportunities fund.

Prior to joining Schroders, he worked as Japanese equity fund manager at Nomura Asset Management.

Schroders global head of equities Nicky Richards said: “Ken has been with Schroders for almost 16 years and his commitment to delivering our clients strong investment performance has been unwavering.”
